Summer fun can only be complete with a visit to one of Tampa’s glorious beaches

There’s nothing quite like the Gulf beaches. Sparkling crystalline sand, warm ocean breezes, and near-perfect gulf water temperatures will make your day at the beach a perfect 10! The beaches around Tampa and St. Petersburg are some of the best in the world! Here, we break them down for you!

Ben T. Davis Beach

Ben T. Davis Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Tampa. Maybe it’s because of the powdery white sand and calm waters, or perhaps it’s because it’s the largest beach along the Tampa Bay area and is the premier spot to watch the sunset.

Apollo Beach Nature Preserve

Animal lovers who also love the sea will enjoy spending time in the seven-acre recreation area inside the preserve. Explore the nature trail or kick back and lounge on the two-acre sandy beach. Visit the observation tower for spectacular views or do a bit of fishing from the shoreline.

Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach is a well-known spot to soak up the sun and frolic in the sea. Besides dipping in the waters, visitors can fish from the almost two and a half-mile beach or visit local shops and eateries on the boardwalk. It’s also a great place to relax and unwind in the evenings!

Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the Tampa Bay Area. It’s the perfect place for swimming, watching the sunsets from the shoreline, or visiting a beachfront bar. It’s also a great place to get one of the area’s unique houses as a background in your selfies.

Archibald Beach Park

Whether you go for an early morning jog or lounge the day away, Archibald Beach Park on Madeira Beach is waiting for you! Its vast expanse of glistening sand and gorgeous blue waters beckon visitors from all over. Sunset viewing is also a popular activity.

St. Pete’s Beach

Soaking up rays is first-rate at The Sunshine City’s, St. Pete’s Beach! It’s also a fantastic place to relax on the sandy white shores or take a dip in the Gulf. Take your pick from dozens of beach bars serving up delectable menus all day long!

Sand Key Park Beach

Considered as the safest beach for kids in the area is Sand Key Park. This beach is a barrier island south of Clearwater Beach that is famous for endangered sea turtles laying their eggs. It’s a peaceful retreat with excellent ocean views and all the amenities you need while out at the beach. Swim and play or take in the playground for the kids and your furry friends!

John’s Pass

At John’s Pass in Pinellas County, enjoy kayaking, swimming, parasailing, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, and more. Afterward, visit their outdoor shopping and dining complex for food, drinks, and more!

Pass a Grille Beach

If you like beach-going old school, Pass-a-Grille Beach is for you! Visitors to this area love the miles of undeveloped Gulf Coast waterfront, swimming, snorkeling, and observing the breathtaking sunset. See it best from a beach cruise or on the beach itself.

Davis Island Dog Beach

Love to swim with your furry friend? Then Davis Island Dog Beach in Tampa is perfect for you both! Since the beach area is fenced in, let your dog romp free in the sand and waves. Maybe you both will make new friends in the process!
