From the theme park to the Historic district, there’s fun for everyone

Howard Avenue in Tampa, Florida, is a north-south running road named after Howard P. Macfarlane, the developer’s son who developed this area. The northern part of Howard Avenue is home to several historic buildings, while South Howard Avenue, also known as SoHo, is home to a fantastic entertainment district. Some of the main cross streets of this area are Kennedy Boulevard, Cleveland Street, Platt Street, and Swann Avenue.

Many historic buildings still remain on Howard Avenue, including the Alessi Bakery building, which was used from the 1940s until the 1960s. In addition, Olympia Bakery remains on Howard, and Patrone’s Bakery was located on North Howard, as was a cigar factory. Equally notable, the Sicilian Club and Cazin theater were also located on North Howard.
